Well the holidays are nearly over and it is almost time to head back to school for another busy term in Room 10! We are focusing on letter writing in our literacy programme this term and so I have sent you all a letter to get you started! Write back to us at school so we will get lots of lovely mail coming to us to read in class, tell us what you have been doing during the holidays and post it off!
If you haven't got a letter yet, keep checking the letterbox as I am sure one will be arriving soon.

Hi Room 10! I'm Emily's Aunty writing to you from Edinburgh in Scotland. I moved to Scotland this year and I LOVE getting letters from my family and friends back in New Zealand (Emily has sent me two so far :) ). Letters help me feel closer to home. Here in Scotland lots of people, like me, live in apartment buildings and don't have mailboxes on the street so the postie will come into the building and up the stairs right up to your front door and stick your letters through a slot in your front door!
