As part of our unit on change and our Religious Education work on the life of Jesus, we have been talking about all the changes in Jesus' life. We have read stories in the bible and talked about all the things that happened to Jesus in his life, then we chose one event to illustrate.

Following instructions... Procedural Writing.

In our writing and reading we have been looking at procedural writing or writing and following instructions.

There are lots of places we can find procedural writing like in recipe books or in "how to" books.

Mrs Pene gave us this job today, to follow instructions to make a disguise, but she muddled up all the instructions and we had to sort them out then follow them and make the disguise!! But we did it!!!

We know the visitor from Palmerston North is Mrs Pene's friend Elly, but who could be looking at our work in Australia and America?? This is so exciting!!!!

Making Popcorn.

As part of our work on Change we have been doing a lot of kitchen chemistry experiments to see what causes change.
The first one we did was making popcorn, it was great fun because we didn't put the lid on the pan and the popcorn flew everywhere!!!!
